Default Power window won't always go UP

2000 TA, when the drivers side window is put down at all, it will not go back up right away. It will go back up after many tries or a couple of minutes.
I replaced the switch with a new one. Any other ideas?
Thanks,
CVB

Window motor is bad. It heats up & stops working, cools down and works for short bursts before heating up again. Will eventually go out completly. You can get motors on ebay for $40 or at autoZone for about the same price. Better quality motors as well. Dealership will bang you for about $300 to change it. There are instructions on how to do it yourself on ls1howto.com or installuniversity.com I forget which one.

Do it yourself I just unscrewed the nuts and took out old motor and then put on new one, all you need it a mirror with extension and small wrench set i think it was 3/32 and a 90 degree screwdriver. Don't even bother with the mounting bracket just don't take off the old one. took me about 2 1/2 hours, probably would have been faster if i saw the websites listed above..
