Got my LS1, help plz

Ok, I just picked up my ls1 from TN. I love everything about it its so nice. 2 things I am having a problem with though. 1st is my cruise control. This is a 98 Trans Am WS-6. The cruise control is located on the side of the turn signal. When I go to activate it, it doesn't work. Wondering what this could possibly be and possible fixes. The second thing is the vent cluster on my controls does not light up when I turn my lights on, although everything else lights up appropriately. I find it very difficult to believe that GM would produce the vehicle without lighting for that.. so what could the problem be? I checked my fuse panel and looked at the "Guages" fuse and the "A/C Cruise Control" fuse and they are both fine.. any others I should check? What could my problems be and what kind of difficulty can the fix be? Thanks

For the cruise control I would first check under the hood to make sure your cable is connected to the throttle body. If that is good then buy a chilton and use the wiring diagrams to trace the wires with a multimeter. Then buy a cruise control pump(not sure exactly what its called).

Are you sure you're doing it right? Not being a smart ***, just checking.

according to the instruction manual i am. There is also a good bit of obvious wear on the turn signal at the cruise control section, being that it no longer even says "cruise control" its completely worn off except for a smiggen of white. I had to look in the book to see where it was.

sounds like you have some bulbs burned out.

Is it even still in the car? A lot of people take them out. See if the CC module is still installed on the left side of the car, very low on the frame rail.
