Everyone running German Castrol 0W30
I got a question for everyone thats using German Castrol 0W30. How many miles are you driving between oil changes? I picked up 7 quarts and a mobil 1 filter last night at autozone and it was $55.00. My wife about had a fit. I would like as many opinions as possible. Thanks guys.

I usually run my syn oils 5500-6500. A lot of them are good for that. So since you pay more but you only change 1/2 the times a year I think its even trade plus Ithink its better on the car!

I run mine 5k miles, but it's just out of habit and my paranoia. I run 6 quarts and a Wix filter. The oil comes out looking brand new every time, and I keep changing it every 5k. Old habits are hard to break, especially for us old dogs . I rarely beat on mine, but I DO like to have a "spirited" run every so often . I say it's money well spent, and tell your wife it would cost $35 to have it done at any oil change place, using conventional oil! If that's all she has to complain about, she's got it too damned easy!

Well it looks like I should be alright driving 6000 miles between oil changes using this synthetic castrol oil. I'll just check it often and keep it at the full mark on the dipstick. Thanks.
