Default What kind of oil filter do you prefer?

Just curious what kind of filters people like. I've always used AC's but was curious if the mobil 1's and K and N's were worth the extra money.

Using K&N 1007 for about a year now, good filter but maybe it is a little pricey. You can use the longer K&N also think its maybe HP 2006??

I am in NE and my stash of filters is in IL. If you don't get an answer I'll get one when I get home.

I have actually been running a truck LSx filter on my LS1(ac delco mostly).
Me and my dad always figure a larger filter=larger filtration area. Normally on my regular oil change's, the oil has been brighter than the stock size filter, which means it's doin its job.

I just went to napaonline.com and for an 02 3/4 ton with the 6.0L the Napa Gold # is FIL 1522. I also double checked an 02 Camaro and the Napa Gold # is FIL 1042. Hope it helps.

Oops I also use the mobil 1. I used the bosch filter on the 4.3 and got the mobil 1 because autozone had a deal going; but will continue using the mobil 1.

K&N simply due to the welded nut on the bottom...makes it so much easier to get on and off.

Actually I think you mean PF46 if its an AC Delco. PF47 fits most of the v6 and four bangers without the internal filter.
