Good info in here. I was thinking of chaging it soon at 40k. I dont know if it was ever replaced.

How much gas did you have in the tank and how much did you loose while doing this?

Only a few ounces of gas will come out. No big deal, just don't have your face right under the filter when you pull it off. And DON'T smoke.

I have 92K on the clock on mine. After reading this thread I think i'll replace mine. Plus the plugs have never been changed. When we did the headers we took them out to look at them and they been in there a LONG time...was just to lazy to buy some new ones. Got my TR6's though waiting to go in

Just curious....Wouldn't it be a good idea to change your filter after you run seafoam through your gas tank?

Me and a couple buddies were talking about this the same night we changed our filters. I dont think you need to change the filter after putting seafoam through your gas tank. I put it in my tank about 5K miles ago and didnt change the filter. (until now) So in my opinion, changing the filter after putting seafoam in the tank isn't necessary.

I dont know how seafoam works but I would imagine it would loosen some junk in your tank. I would change it after.

I always buy them from GM/AC Delco. I have a business account with a local chevy dealer so I get a good price. I think list price from the dealer is about $15. Not sure what the other brands go for from the local parts store chains though.

They're like 13 bucks at any parts store probably. Only takes 5 minutes to swap out, it's real easy

I usually try to get all my stuff at the exact same Autozone even though it's not the closest one. They keep German Castrol in stock at all times, so they keep my business as well.
