Amsoil extended life 10w30 and their EA series oilfilters.Been using it for over five years in all of my vehicles and never has leaked a drop. If a bigblock does not leak or use an abnormal amount of oil it's good stuff. I run it in my k3500 454 exclusively since it was almost new.

Fairly new to the LS1 game as of late fall. I was also curious about this subject. For those of you using AC Delco filters, what number are you using?? The local parts place listed an AC Delco PF46, but that sure looks small. I also have a LS1 Engine Kit Installation Guide manual from GM Racing, and they recommended AC Delco PF44 and 10W30 synthetic, but no specific brand.
I use Wix filters on my old school pro street car, but was wondering what part number you guys are using on your LS1s for the Wix filter??
Thanks.

i used that lucas stuff aswell..lol. dont use the regular one. its WAY to thick! its like honey... the synthetic one is alil more thin. ive put one quart of that and the rest of whatever oil i please. dont really have any complaints about it.. but didnt see any plus sides to it either.

Was just wondering about the Lucas stuff because I picked up some synthectic 5W30 that was 40% off it's regular price in a store closing sale, but if it isn't any good, then I'll use it in something else.

I use Mobil 1 5-30 in both the Camaro and GTO, with the M1-206 filter. The filter is the bigger one of the two. I have 120,000 miles on the camaro and no leaks or major problems at all.
