Amsoil extended life 10w30 and their EA series oilfilters.Been using it for over five years in all of my vehicles and never has leaked a drop. If a bigblock does not leak or use an abnormal amount of oil it's good stuff. I run it in my k3500 454 exclusively since it was almost new.

that dosnt garantee that i wont have any problems. for every car its different, and it seems my car likes M1. so its what ima stick with. ive tried many different kinds of oils. all seem to not last as long, and lower my PSi.
speaking of oil pressure..i had a crazy dream last nite..lol..was driving my car, and the oil pressure whas at like 10 psi or something, and i get hella scared. all these lights light up on the dash that i never seen lol. one said turn off car before detonation..lol hahah..but yea thought id share my little story.

Fairly new to the LS1 game as of late fall. I was also curious about this subject. For those of you using AC Delco filters, what number are you using?? The local parts place listed an AC Delco PF46, but that sure looks small. I also have a LS1 Engine Kit Installation Guide manual from GM Racing, and they recommended AC Delco PF44 and 10W30 synthetic, but no specific brand.
I use Wix filters on my old school pro street car, but was wondering what part number you guys are using on your LS1s for the Wix filter??
Thanks.

Was just wondering about the Lucas stuff because I picked up some synthectic 5W30 that was 40% off it's regular price in a store closing sale, but if it isn't any good, then I'll use it in something else.
