Would this issue cause my car to have issues with Security sometimes, then all the sudden not work after I hit a huge pot hole? Got a new key, test key switch, key class 14, I have a vats bypass box, and still cant get the car to start. Going to try and bypass the ignition relay but I may try this first.

Any ideas?

This is completely unrelated to VATS or any starting problems. The solder joints mentioned apply only to the Retained Accessory Power (RAP) circuit of the BCM.

VATS is also controlled by the BCM but it is not the sole reason for starting problems - people have had starting problems long before circuits like this were added. If the SECURITY light in the instrument cluster isn't on or flashing, it's a good bet that VATS is not the problem. The starter relay, the starter itself, and the wiring between them are good candidates.

Talking about the kick panel? Yes there is a metal clasp thing. I didn't realize it at first and just pulled and it came flying off

You can grab the little metal clip with pliers and coax it off.

Yep. Its a pain because you usually bend it up a bit taking it off, but it straightens out OK.

I just wanted to add that I had problems with my interior lights flashing every 10 sec and my radio would not come off when I opened the doors to get out. I reheated all the joints in the and added more solder and it worked! I did not have any problems with my power windows that I noticed.

The OP left the forum in a snit and deleted all his posts. All the information you need about this fix is repeated elsewhere in the thread (including photos).

Anyway, for those who need it, here is a pic of the bottom of the BCM with the big solder joints in the shape of a T circled.

My Radio and Windows were cutting out randomly , I did this yesterday and it worked! don't know if its related, but when I pressed the remote to lock the doors sometimes it would only honk once , It honks twice now like its supposed to. The BCM is a bitch to get out, I used a flathead screwdriver to press outward on the sides of the clip holding it in and just brute-forced it out. Left the two smaller plugs plugged in and soldered it in the case while still inside the car.

Don't know if this is a coincidence or not, but after I did the solder fix my AM radio reception became horrible. I've checked the connections to the head unit, power antenna, etc. but I don't see anything. Is there any way I could've damaged something while working on the BCM?

The AM antenna is internal to the radio.

No, the AM antenna is the same as the FM antenna - on the right quarter panel.
