yea i took mine apart, there is a rivet that you have to grind in order to pop off the spring, i have to go buy some new stiffer springs and then find away to assemble it using some type of screw!

if anyone else decides to do this dont grind off the rivit , leave it on there so later it will hold the new spring, put the new one on there in a screwing fasion, like putting a key ring on a key, cut the old spring off.

One day my passenger side visor just fell off. Then I noticed how much better the view was from that side!
I'm 6'1" and after seeing through the pass side of the windshield I PURPOSELY took off the driver side. Much better.
Just throw some sun glasses in the console if you ever need 'em.

p.s. Remove the arm/visor only-leave the metal triange thing installed. If you're blessed with a dark interior you won't even notice the 2 holes.

it shuld work out ok, the ones i fixed were mangeld on the end, i used a washer to hold the spring on. it was already like that when i started the fix and worked good until i laid that car to rest.

Been planning on doing this for a while. But first I wanted to know if you can simply pull the visor off of the metal rod that mounds to the headliner and then slide the triangle off the end? Or if you must cut the visor rod in order to the triangle to slide off of it?

Thanks, EJ

Sun visors on F bodies are just junk. I think the "tough ****" rule applies in this case.
