Just ordered the lid today, also have had the FERNCO for about 4 weeks now, but ive been reading in numerous posts about the FERNCO cracking lids, and I don't want to lose 140 bucks for doing a $6 mod, so should i go back to the stock bellows, or not worry about it..also since i have put on the FERNCO, i hear a slight whistle when im idling to about 2500 rpms, is that normal, or u think i have a leak around the MAF housing..

The way my motor moves around I didn't want to risk it. My stock bellows is compressed enough that I don't think it is causing much of a disruption anyway.
If you had a leak after the MAF your car should idle a little funny.

did you trim the inside of the fernco? i trimmed it a bit to ease the tension on the lid, and ive had no problems (and i refuse to pay $47 for t he SLP one). just an idea, good luck!

The stiff Airflow System cracked my lid.
Cheapo=doing things over. Or in my case, boken Cheapo=cheapo repair (sealant along the crack).

I've always used something like the Airflow Systems thing. Never had any trouble with the 3 different lids I've tried.
