ok this might sound stupid but i want loudest idle i can get. i dont care if its loud when im WOT. i just want a really really LOUD idle! right now i have hooker LT's, no cats, and an open offroad Y-pipe but it's not loud enough. i might go with TD's but i dont know wat muffler or no muffler. i do still want it to sound good...just good and loud. all the exhaust i hear are quiet at idle and loud at WOT but i want the opposite.
also, i dont have to worry about emissions or any laws because the town im in. the cops dont care about cats or noise!

I ran open headers with the MS3 cam and that alone was loud as f*ck, i loved it! I basically added some 12" extensions to the header collectors, and that was it. Not im running x-pipe with no cats to slp shotgun resonators (SLP LM1 resonators). Alittle bit quieter than the open headers obviosuly, but but not that much different. I sometimes wonder why i ditched the open headers.

Open longtubes with 6-12 inch extensions after the collectors.. will keep the o2s good to go
Heres my car with open headers. When I speak to the camera guy to tell him I have no brakes and he says drive it anyway we are shouting at each other and you cant hear it at all in the video because all you can hear is the car.

I dont know of any car I've heard on the street with a louder idle. or thats louder..at all. When I would rev it even 2-3K everyone around the car would jump
This is the idle after I added the sweet thunder resonators
Still loud everywhere but I wanted the exact opposite of you, a quite idle, and absolute hell breaking loose when I was on the gas which is what I think the sweet thunders do well.

Why do you want a loud idle anyway??

Open headers will be loudest. Just throw some 12 inch extensions on the collectors.
My friends stock cam car with open headers is decently loud. My friends H/C/I MS3 cammed car is ridiculous with open headers.

Loud is cool untill you get a ticket + it gets old after awhile. Trust me. If you research my posts from almost 2 years ago I made a thread just like yours. Then not to long after that I was posting up in the wanted section stock catback and a electric cutout. If you want loud run some longtubes a 3" ORY and a slp bullet/resonator at the end dumped at the axle

Why do you want a loud car at idle.....thats just annoying. Gonna make it kinda tough to order quarter pounders thru drive thru too. At idle, a car sounds best when its sitting there purring quietly with a good cam lope.
If you want loud, run your headers strait up through your hood.
