Exactly. I'd like to see some physical numbers on plenum volume, runner, length, throttle body size, etc...

+1, I want to see some independent testing done. Everyone seems real quick to jump on the band wagon on these with out any information what so ever.

Looks like a LS1 to me. Cathedral port heads and an alternating runner pattern. Unless it's some odd SBF head.

dude get your eyes checked out !!!!!!! thats a LS series motor , there isnt any doubt of that

the part that is throwing you off are the covers that are hiding the coils and valve covers , and their 2 piece water pump

look closely at the header bolt pattern and front shot of the head

So what are the runner lengths and plenum volume? How do they compare to the LS6 or FAST?

If they come out with a version for the L92 heads I will do whatever it takes to fit that under my hood. I have a high stalled car that is raced a lot and is driven on the street once in a while. The power this makes in the upper rpms is exactly what I have been waiting for.

OK you are right, the covers looked like a big block valve cover to me and I know they are making this kind of intake for different engines.

Either way, it will work great on my Nova. I will keep my fast 90 for the T/A

lol , yeah they do kinda make it look like a big block

just be lucky they made the LSx covers that small , you should see the fords they have , they are as BIG as TEXAS , LMAO

just measured my 04 gto , and from the stock LS1 valey cover to the lip on my cowl is 10 1/2"

didnt have anything that would fit fender to fend to measure the hood clearance at the front

but my BMR strut brace would have to go , but so far looks possible under a gto hood

I have a Sunoco hood so I could probably clear there, but think about how much of the engine is under the cowl. There is no freaking way unless I am missing something that this thing is gonna clear the cowl.

Maybe its an illusion because I have never measured from the valley cover to the cowl but it just doesnt look like its a go.

I need to see independent test done by shop's. And a cowl hood. That might not look bad.

The plenum volume looks kind of small and the runners a little long for high RPM performance. I'd still like to see some numbers on them.

At least there won't be an endless thread(s) on heat soak with this one because of the air gap with an aluminum.

more introspection of the minutia of thermodynamics would make me

I was hot to trot on the weiland, but years later I bet this comes out first (safe bet as the wiland is NEVER coming out) the problem is I dont think this will clear the lip on the fire wall for vettes.

It looks like a boat motor with that manifold on it!

I went on the edelbrock website to hunt for those. They are in the new products for 2009 link. Here is the info..says will not fit stock vehicles The polished ones would be bad ***.. and of course no price yet...sure it wont be cheap

Edelbrock’s new sand cast aluminum LS Series Coil Covers are a great way to dress up the LS1 in your
street rod or muscle car. These coil covers are designed to eliminate the stock mounting brackets on
transplanted LS1 engines by way of fitting coils directly to the underside of the Edelbrock cover. They
are intended to create a clean under hood custom appearance and will not fit stock vehicles. These
covers accept GM #12558948 coils or aftermarket equivalent replacement coils such as MSD #8245.
