Bbk lt? Anybody have any experience with BBK long tubes? I'm considering ordering a set and want to know about the quality and fitment. Stainless is a NO, so don't bother posting if you are just going to be a nut rider on those.
just do a little searching, there have been a few guys including my self asking the same question. I really like the way the BBk's look, and there fitment is amazing if you are lowered, but i want stainlees, so i think i will most likely go with the LPP headers. I think they are around $650 for headers and Y-pipe.
I have the chrome versions, had them on for about 2 months now. Very good fitment. Had the car up on regular jackstands in the front and ramps in the back. Didnt have to grind anything or unbolt steering shaft. I just took them off this past weekend and did poly mounts because I had a little bit of knocking under accelration in turns. My stock mounts were rotting. Any way they are excellent for the quality and price. IMO
I have them. BBK long tubes are the best fitting headers I have come across. The header primaries are 1.75". They have ball flanges for easy adjustment and the y pipe is a 2 piece design that includes a torca coupler for good seal and ease of adjustment. The y pipe is 2.5" into 3", which makes much more sense that most 3" y pipes that merge into a single 3" pipe. This design also allows for better ground clearance. You can buy the headers/y pipe combo COATED for $500 shipped. If you search you will find a very good post with great pics by a member with a white TA, just can't remember his user name.
yup... good headers. The link above shows pics I took during the install... make sure you get the ceramic ones. Mine still look brand new. I've got the non-ceramic coated ones on my rustang, and they discolored and look really old already. Great fitment and quality though... the guys at BBK really knew what they were doing...
