MAC headers Whats up? I was just wondering if anyone has the MAC headers with the catalytic y-pipe and if they like it or not? Can't really afford the TTS or FLP so have to go with something cheap. Anyone? PLease help. Appreciate it 
Re: MAC headers What about QTP, Pacesetter, or Hooker LT's? They are a little cheaper than FLP or TTS. I can't really tell how good MACs are, because there are so amny differing views on them. Read through this forum and you will probaly find some stuff.

Re: MAC headers Macs suck, I had them and went to hookers and gained 8rwhp and 12 tq so thats a 28 hp gain over stock manifolds. Hookers are great headers, find some used so you can save money. Plus macs have a really crappy sound too them compared to LTs.
Re: MAC headers Mac....the company sucks!!! They have the worst customer skills ever, and...well I hate them (they cost me a ton of money for their screw up). I had hooker and also a set of Jet-hot headers and was happy with both.

Re: MAC headers wait did I say that they dont make power? I think not. I gained 20 hp off of them but gained 8 more with hookers. plus the sound difference is worth it even if I lost 5 hp.

Re: MAC headers I gained 30rwhp with MACs (using my factory cats in the Y) and a LS6 intake. Since it was a lightly modded car at the time, I think the MACs had to be worth at least 18rwhp. You can get even more by cutting off the ball-flanges and welding in Flowmaster collectors and also grinding down some of the welds. Everybody slams MACs, but they work very well, especially on a lowered car. I have Jet-Hot/Hooker LTs now with my heads/cam, but have nothing but good stuff to say about the MACs...especially the easy install.
