TR Poly motor mounts
WOW, huge difference in the car.
First off, thanks to Fulton-1 for suggesting TR's motor mounts so many times. Thanks to Humanoid; they were a piece of cake to install.
No more y-pipe banging - 100% gone!
The car actually became much more civilized ( I have H/C , LT headers with no cats, 3-1/2" exhaust all the way ) and easier to drive.
Still feel the lump of the H/C, but it's now in the actual body instead of inside the cabin.
I recommend this mod to everyone who's even thought of it - you will not regret it. I'm glad I did both instead of just one side.

Thunder Racing - sponsor on the right. $50? Polyurethane. Made to be a direct fit; Energy Suspension makes them too but you have to do some modifications to make it work.

Install is straightforward. I was doing a K member at the same time, so it was even easier
Basically you drill/cut the steal rivets out of the stock mount "clam shell" and replace the rubber stock mounts with poly units and bolt the clamshell back together. I used the Prothane kit. Everything was included. Directions were clear and precise.

I have only done the one side so far. It is a huge diff when it comes to stopping the motor from moving. My motor moved 1 1/4"+ now I have less than 1/2" clearance with my y pipe and no banging.

What did you guys use to move the engine? Floor jack and a block of wood? I'm assuming you have to move the engine up to get the old mounts out and new in. Could this be done in a garage on ramps? Thanks!
