Default TR Poly motor mounts

WOW, huge difference in the car.

First off, thanks to Fulton-1 for suggesting TR's motor mounts so many times. Thanks to Humanoid; they were a piece of cake to install.

No more y-pipe banging - 100% gone!

The car actually became much more civilized ( I have H/C , LT headers with no cats, 3-1/2" exhaust all the way ) and easier to drive.

Still feel the lump of the H/C, but it's now in the actual body instead of inside the cabin.

I recommend this mod to everyone who's even thought of it - you will not regret it. I'm glad I did both instead of just one side.

I agree. I've seen some car with the stock mounts and I'm waiting for the motor to fly out. It's a must do mod once you start making alot of power.

Thunder Racing - sponsor on the right. $50? Polyurethane. Made to be a direct fit; Energy Suspension makes them too but you have to do some modifications to make it work.

Whats the install like? I just put the motor in, so my timing SUCKS, but they sure seem like a nice mod to make the car shake around less, and Im make "alright power"

How long was the install and what was the basic process?

Go for solid mounts, no KR, no additional vibration that I noticed, more room, and about 10 lbs off the nose.

Install is straightforward. I was doing a K member at the same time, so it was even easier

Basically you drill/cut the steal rivets out of the stock mount "clam shell" and replace the rubber stock mounts with poly units and bolt the clamshell back together. I used the Prothane kit. Everything was included. Directions were clear and precise.

I have only done the one side so far. It is a huge diff when it comes to stopping the motor from moving. My motor moved 1 1/4"+ now I have less than 1/2" clearance with my y pipe and no banging.

What did you guys use to move the engine? Floor jack and a block of wood? I'm assuming you have to move the engine up to get the old mounts out and new in. Could this be done in a garage on ramps? Thanks!
