sounds like a corvette?? what is it that makes the C5s and C6s sound the way they do? i think it's one of the best sounds in the world and i'm just wondering why vettes sound that way but camaros/TAs sound so much different. same engine, right? different exhaust i know, but i saw a car with an ls1 out of a vette and it STILL sounded like one. i was gonna make an ls1 swap car and wanted it to sound like a vette but i have no idea how. i'm lost. anything?

They have duals, different mufflers, different intake setup, different exhaust manifold, different everything related to exhaust, different car.
GTO's sound similiar to the vettes though stock for stock so I'm willing to bet most of it is the minimally functional hpipe and the true duals.

the vettes frame has an effect. and the piping direction and length. you could get its mufflers and have dual with same pipes and still not sound the same. it also sounds different in an ultima or gtm just from the different frame (as well as exhaust of course).

hmmm....so what you're saying is....you probably can't replicate the sound of a vette? see i have an LS1 from an 02 T/A i wanted to make a frankenstein car with but i wanted it to have that vette sound. i was thinking a foxbody or miata...
