Volant CAI vs. Lid....
we i was wondering if there was a big difference between the 2. since my buddy has one on his WS6 and i have a MTI lid.... we raced this weekend from 50 to about 140ish from 50 to about 100 we are dead even then around there i instantly pull about 3/4 cars on him and its this way till 120 when he pulls ahead 3/4 carsup to 140ish just wondering what it could be

I have had the K&N, Lid and Vollant( currently have installed ) they are all about the same, just the volant looks better (for the first six months, until the filters turn grey cause the blue faded)

but, fwiw, I swapped my lid for a Volant and it felt better on the topend, but I also debaffled the hood w/ the Volant, so its not a direct comparison.
I fixed this problem w/ the red k&n oil. Looks much better!

Remember Adam... My hood is completely un-baffled while yours is still somewhat baffled. We can still do it but I don't think it will be a fair comparison. But it should be fun.

See ya I don't know adam... i would have to see.. Even at that high speeds its been tested and calculated that only about 1 PSI to 1.5 PSI of pressure is going into the lid... NOW... the filter will basically stop that 1 PSI... So i really don't know...
