Default Volant CAI vs. Lid....

we i was wondering if there was a big difference between the 2. since my buddy has one on his WS6 and i have a MTI lid.... we raced this weekend from 50 to about 140ish from 50 to about 100 we are dead even then around there i instantly pull about 3/4 cars on him and its this way till 120 when he pulls ahead 3/4 carsup to 140ish just wondering what it could be

I'm hopefully gonna be getting a volant on my WS6 soon... I'm sick of dealing with lids and their fitment issues... I'll post up my thoughts when I get it installed around X-Mas

I have had the K&N, Lid and Vollant( currently have installed ) they are all about the same, just the volant looks better (for the first six months, until the filters turn grey cause the blue faded)

If you have a WS6 car, consider our JAAM ram air kit. It will make the stock hood functional and seal the hood to the air box.

You could always switch air intakes and make the same run. Should only take 10-15min tops to swap them out. It would be a fun little experiment!

but, fwiw, I swapped my lid for a Volant and it felt better on the topend, but I also debaffled the hood w/ the Volant, so its not a direct comparison.

I fixed this problem w/ the red k&n oil. Looks much better!

I've found the volant for about $245 shipped brand new...

with the 2 filters, it's better for the WS6's... if you have a camaro, this intake isn't really necessary...

Remember Adam... My hood is completely un-baffled while yours is still somewhat baffled. We can still do it but I don't think it will be a fair comparison. But it should be fun.

See ya I don't know adam... i would have to see.. Even at that high speeds its been tested and calculated that only about 1 PSI to 1.5 PSI of pressure is going into the lid... NOW... the filter will basically stop that 1 PSI... So i really don't know...
