ok, the mods i have are in the signature.... i will get headers EVENTUALLY when i have money, right now around Christmas is especially tight!!

anyways, I want to not have exhaust tips or anything coming out of the back of the car, so what about turndowns, etc.... Just wondering some little things i could do...

electrics will eventually fail but they are a lot easier for awhile, its your choice. If you dont mind getting on the ground every once in awhile go w/ the non electric and save the $$$ for headers

Depends on how much you want to spend. Electric will run you about $200 shipped from QTP plus $40 or so to get it welded in. If you don't go electric, it will be about $40 shipped and $40 for install. I have the electric one and love it. I can go from stealthy stock exhaust to loud hell raiser in about 3 seconds. When it is open, I notice a little loss in low end torque through the butt-o-meter, but abover 3k rpm, AMAZING pull. Sound is great although a little drone around 2000-2500 rpm with the windows up...so I usually only drive with it open when I have the windows down and music up, then...no drone! If you have any more questions, let me know!

What about true duals? I don't have them, but Lanes has some nice clips on their site. I believe that it is laneswheels.com, but I'm not sure.

over 100 for electric, then you still have to buy the non electic cutout which is 30-35. The electric is just a plate that bolts on the the non electric

Yes you can. Alot of people run their cutout/cutouts open 24/7.

The True Duals @ Lanes are quite pricey, but well worth the $$$!!
that is where i took my car to. **EDITED** Not a sponsor.

Also, FYI QTP has a group purchase going on now with their Electric Cutout's. They have one that will go right into your Borla set up. $139.00......

What city are you close to ss girl?

With the exhaust you already have, I dont think a cutout is going to sound much different. I'm thinking the only thing you can do is like someone else said, go with true duals. I'm having a set made for my SS right now. I think lanes will charge around 550 or so? You can find shops that will make it for less, I'm making my own.

And if you want more sound than that, you need a cam.

Yeah I was just going to say a cam will sure make your car sound mean; not a cheap easy mod, though.

The Borla ran wide open is enough to tide me over till headers install. If I rev mine up next to a friends with the Flowmaster, it's like he isnt there anymore

electric or non electric....

I have a Qtec on my '98 TA. In my opinion the car sounds like crap just driving around town with it open. The exhaust has a horrible drone and sounds like an exhaust leak under 2,000 RPM. Steady driving at or above 2,000 it sounds pretty good.Under WOT the car sounds really good but not quite loud enough to be spectacular.

I have stock manifolds and cats.
