The SLP doesn't have the lower "ramp" portion.

I went with the SLP unit because when I bought my SS it was my daily driver. I didn't want to worry about block off plates every time it rained. Now that I have a beater car (and my SS only sees nice, sunny days) I may look into the FTRA or SSRA...

The SSRA gained a best of 13rwhp on the dyno. We used a large construction fan to simulate airstream mounted in front of the scoop. With a block off plate my car was 299.9rwhp totally stock. We pulled the block off plate out and redynoed it with the fan and the dyno read 312.9rwhp. This was a back to back run.
If you do decide to go with the SLP or any other cold air kit for that matter I do make a scoop that fits the SLP, FTRA, and whisper CAI's to give you a set up like the SSRA.
Effective immediately the SSRA/Super Sucker will be called the Austin Ram Air(ARA). There is a company out there called High Velocity Heads that has copyrighted the name Super Sucker. The sell a carb plate called the Super Sucker along with many other items www.highvelocityheads.com I talked to the owner and he seemed like a nice guy. He offered to license the name to me, but I think all my products will be led by my last name. Austin Ram Air kit(SSRA), the Austin scoop for other CAI's, and my short shifter the Qwik Stick now called the Austin Qwik Stick. What a pain in the ***, but oh well.

After getting my EFIlive I can see my intake air temps. At idle and at 130 I did not notice a sizable gain that I thought I would. I did see about a 3 degree temp difference at speed. If that is what the SLP CAI can do I think that the SSRA would be alot better judging by the extension. I think that I will eventually buy the add on that ss1le02 sells for my CAI to better take advantage of the ram air effect.
With just the SLP Loudmouth, I ran a 13.89 @ 101 in my 1999 A4 TA
With the SLP CAI kit, BMR subframe connectors and lower control arms I ran a 13.67 @ 103. I didn't have traction problems on either run and were both with street tires.
I think the price is a bit much though, so I bought mine on ebay for $30 less (not even used)
