What am I retarded? (TB Bypass issue)
One coolant hose is 3/8", the other is 1/4"; i bought a 3/8" brass coupler and, obviously you can't jam that into the 1/4 hose. When i tried, for the hell of it, to use the 1/4 brass fitting it started to leak a little even after i taped the joint up. Dio they make a 3/8" - 1/4" Brass coupler? Now i have to hose out my engine bay b/c some coolant leaked out and now it smells. lol.
I have also been thinking how "worth while" this mod is. I have SLP's fan switch which is ALWAYS turn to the low setting when i jump into the car. SO there is a steady stream of air already cooling the motors and what not. Being that i have a black car anyways, would the TB get heatsoaked no matter what? Does it really make power? I don't want to have to deal with a drippy coolant line for .5rwhp.

i cant imagine this mod making more then 1 hp... how much time does air at full throttle really have to heat up while going through the throttle body? my guess is the air heats up almost none due to the coolant. Whats next block off coolant to the heads because the air will heat up in the intake port? i dunno just never made sense to me... but i guess it wont hurt if you never drive in freezing conditions, i just wouldnt be expecting much.

its def one of those ....every little bit helps mods.
it really doesn't do anything benefitial to the engine, alot of guys run the TBB in winter and have no problems. which is why it was designed into the car.
ws6.com got like 4hp with it on the dyno...who knows...
