Default Running engine without radiator/power steering?

I have my radiator out right now as well as the power steering resevior, I am wondering if running the engine will damage the power steer pump or water pump if they don't have fluid in them.

Obviously it will overhead but I am talking about just starting it up once a week for a minute at most.

Why would you even need to start it up for a minute?

If theres no fluid at all in that ps pump it will eat itself up... I'd wait till you get it back together

Take the belt off and you can start it without damaging the PS pump

Be aware that coolant will not be circulating and you will damage the engine if you run it for long (hotspots)

Id save this option for when you HAVE to move the car a short distance rather than just to "hear it"

well i would just wait. but, all u would have to do is get a short belt to run the water pump and hook up a water hose to inlet of the pump, then just let it drain on the floor on outlet and obviously keep the water hose running the whole time(wont overheat). bingo

running the power steering with no fluid will break it.
