Anyone have any factory freaks?

The day when I can call a bone-stock LS1 A4 F-body a 12-second car will be the day that hell freezes over! Seriously, I just can't see 12's getting done with stock 1600-rpm launches and no mods. No way, i'll never buy that.
It was Evan Smith. He wen't 12's bone-stock on two different occassions in two different cars; a '98 Z28 and '01 SS. He also wasn't the only one documented. GMHTP also wen't 12's in a stock LS1 Z.

Just breaking into the 12s and running 12.60s are two different things man! Take a car that turns 12.9s-13.0s and run it against a car that runs 12.60s with the same exact reaction time and 60ft; the 12.60 is A LOT quicker! I will never believe a stock LS1 on stock tires, stock everything will turn a 12.60 with a 1.7 60ft!

there's no way a stock a4 car will ever see 12's! my old a4 LS1 car went 13.0 with 3.73's, lid, no cats, and a magnaflow catback. that's the best i could do and on a dr dead hooking. 2.0 60', couldn't get any better than that

There are some Bolt-on only LS1's in the mid to high 10's believe it or not. These cars are as light as a feather though, were talking 2800-2900lbs raceweight. I wen't a best of 11.7 @ 117 w/ a 1.60 60' at 3490 raceweight bolt-on only.

Well guys since the intranet said theres no way, ill scratch out my time and put it at a 13.0 since thats the fastest my car will ever go. Like I said the car IS a 6 speed, and technically it wasnt stock, it had bmr relocation brackets and a drop in k&n otherwise nothing else. Granted that was my fastest pass of the day I backed it up with a 12.8@110 with a 1.8 60', what is killing me right now is that it seems no one can accept the fact that no one knows everything about these cars you learn something new everyday...

-01 ws6 a4 w/ 70k
-98 z28 a4 w/100k
-99 z28 m6 w/ 40k
and then my 99 trans am with 45k on it. For some reason the butt dyno said pick this one and thats what I did. The others just felt weaker up top. AND mine ran 13.7 @ 102 in 3000 DA stock lol. i don;t know what could make up for the difference besides taking care of it.

HAHA I hear ya. Bolt-on LS1's can really move with some good traction. The fact he was full weight explains him being a couple ticks behind my best bolt-on run.

Well I'm sorry guys call it what you want to call it... I know i done it and ya'll throwing the bs flag on me wont make or break my day!!! Trust me I have better things to do than lie about what the thing ran at the track... My advice to some of you all is to learn how to drive!!!

Call it all bs if ya want but I have done it and seen others do it also. All you need is a good track and good air, and some cars run better then others. In my case 12.90s 13.00s when stock in the fall is not hard to do. My 3200 vig. and drs. and little mods and a good tune is why my car ets so well. And I am fortunate to run at a '' fast track like atco ''. I'm sure there are other fast tracks across the country, either you do not run at one or you just weren't lucky enough to own a car built on a Wed!
You must have the fastest track in the country dude! You car runs an entire second faster then 90% of ALL the other "STOCK" Ls1s out there! I get it...you just happen to have one that has an extra what 35-40hp then every one else! I can drive...I spun all of 1st and most of 2nd gear and still ran 12.2 @117mph and that was with a 2.1 60ft(our hillbilly oil slick track..THOMPSON DRAG RACEWAY). Its hallarious how extremely rare it is to a STOCK LS1 F-body break into the 12s; hell even that professional driver (I can't remember his name something like Evans or something) broke into the 12s but that was after multiple tries and I think it was barley into the 12s..like 12.8-12.9...man you can out drive HIM; YOU ARE SAWEEEET!

The internet does not say you did not do it, 11 years of LS1 experiences combined will tell you, you are not being truthfull. The car could have been stock, but on a good DR, then its beleavable. a 1.7 60' with stock rubber under a stock F-Body is a little hard to swallow. Maybe you are the Michael Schumacher of the stock 6spd F-Body who knows... but I am in serious doubt about it..

Yes it was Evan Smith, but honestly, he is not the end all be all driver. I have run the same car he has [My Friends H/C Z28], a car that was in GM High Tech a few years back, and I did run a better number than him. I believe my friend ran a better number than him too, but it was not Evan's car. Was not mine either. The ET's printed in the article were done with me driving, so he is good, but he is not the best. Im not either, just saying he is not "godly".
I don't recall anyone saying he is "Godly". You said that. So he must be!
