Default Which belt with 10% underdrive crank pulley, stock?

Just got my Fluidampr 7.25" crank pulley and I was wanting to know what drive belt I need to get. Will the stock size belt work fine, or is it still to long?

Stock belt was still too long for mine. It looks like it's tight when the car is not running, but once the engine was turning, it was slipping. I went with a 1" shorter Gatorback belt and have not had any problems. The stock belt is 79" long. The Gatorbacks part number ends in the length of the belt. THe belt I used was 4060780. You can get them at Autozone.

So with the PT# 4060780 the 78 is belt length I'll need, correct?
Do you have a factory tensioner of manual tensioner, or does it even matter?

That is correct. They have half sizes, so a 78.5" belt would be 4060785.

I am still using the factory tensioner with no problem.

I couldn't find any Gatorback pt#4060780 1" shorter(than stock) drive belts, but I did find the same size belt in a Gates pt#K060780, so that's what I got.

Thanks!

Is your rear(AC) pulley the same size as the front Main drive pulley?
My Fluidampr pulley uses a stock size AC belt, and 1" shorter for the main drive belt.

So I guess my Gates drive belt(K060780) stretched, I now have my Katech belt tensioner adjusted all the way and it's not allowing me to tighten the belt with anymore than 35 ft.lb..
So today I got a new drive belt 1" shorter (Goodyear Gatorback#gtr-4060770) , but the odd thing is it's to short? The only other thing I can think of is that the belt tensioner mounts on my Meziere water-pump in in a slightly different position than the stock water-pump.
Anybody have any insite on this?

Thumbs up

The Gates(K060780) belt did stretch to much. Replaced it yesterday with a Goodyear Gatorback#gtr-4060775, works great and it's the shortest belt that works with my combo.
I could use a gtr-4060780, but the 4060775 will allow for more tensionier adjustment, if needed.
