LS1 or LS6 intake?
Gotten different answers... now I leave it to the mob -
At this point I'm still even confused as to if I have a LS1 intake or LS6 .. I do have a tube running ot the side of the throttle body... wrapped in some rubber membrane.

thats an ls6 intake. do you see rite behind the throttle body on the top of the intake at the front there is a diamond(square shape) on the nose of the intake? there should be a tube running into it which is the EGR. Yours doesnt so its an ls6 intake. 2001 and 02's have an ls6 intake.

This is just my observation, but! I would say that your motor was changed at some point because it does looks like its an LS6 intake but you have the old style PCV which is the black hose there on the left side of your picture. I though on the motors that came with the LS6 intake had the different valley pan cover where the PCV hose comes out the front of the cover and plugged into that side port of the intake. Its just weird.

The only way to know for sure if it's an LS6 intake manifold
is to run the part number or pull the intake & see if the bottom
is flat. The part number is on the drivers side.
Some LS1 corvette intakes didn't have the EGR.

underneath, the intakes are clearly different. the ls1 intake has a curved floor and the ls6 has a flat floor, which is why you would need a particular steam line for each of them!

only the LS6 Y-car got the LS6 valley plate.
his picture shows the standard 1999+ F-car PCV system and the 2001+ F-car intake manifold (i.e. LS6 intake, part number 12561184).
Op: go look on the LHS of your intake, you will see the part number molded in the plastic.
