What would comprise the intake part? CAI, Lid, P&P TB, and LS6 intake?

you'd get more gains from headers than the intake depending on which intake you're looking at. keeping in mind you'd have to buy a new y pipe as well.

I was looking at the BBK polished intake. I kind of figured the LT headers would give a little more hp. I have been looking at the pacesetters with the jethot coating inside and out.

cant go wrong with PS LTs, id go headers first for sure. LS6 intakes are pretty cheap and make for good gains too

id say longtubes and ory or catted y. you will see more gains from that than an LS6 intake. now if your looking at the 90/90 or 92/92 setup's for the intake than thats a different story. i might still say headers bc your going to need them.

How much louder would the car be with headers and the SLP LM2. Don't really want it any louder than it is. Would probably have to switch to a quieter catback.

I just got Pacesetter coated headers and my car did not get any louder, just a deeper tone.

+ 1 for headers. If you put headers, LS6 intake and a tune this is what you can expect for a gain... I literally just did all three not to long ago and made this vid.

I would build up my engine the way I want it 1st,Then I'll do headers, see what they don't know is headers take away back pressure from a stock engine ,an a stock engine needs back pressure.

Note: Headers are for CAMMED CARS in which more air flow is required.

No engine needs back pressure, you're very misinformed. The biggest restriction on a stock LS1 F-Body, is the exhaust, both the manifolds as well as the stock Y and catback. A catback on stock manifolds/cats/y shows a decent gain, and a set of real nice long tubes and a real nice Y into that catback will show a lot more gain, on a stock engine.

I did the intake manifold first because it's an easier job to get done, and still worth it...not as much of a gain as headers/exhaust, but it was still very noticeable.

Headers before intake.

Back in the day, I had a '73 Impala with dual exhaust. When I added headers, it got quieter. Headers have the propensity to absorb sound more than stock manifolds.

headers for sure, the stock exhaust system is VERY restrictive from the factory, especially the y-pipe. I have coated Hooker headers, fitment and quality was great. it also quieted the exhaust a bit. paid $375 shipped for them off Ebay
