Removed air/egr... use mini breather or seal up?
Ok, i removed the air and egr on my 99 T/A a few months ago, but just recently noticed that there was a open plug on the passenger side valve cover towards the back behind the PCV.... i guess from when i removed the air and egr. Should I plug it up with a hose end cap or put one of the mini breather/cone filters on it to vent. Here is a quick paint shop diagram for a better understanding. 1. throttle body, 2. intake manifold, 3. the open plug, and 4. the PCV.

that is the cross over for the PCV system. it pulls crankcase vapors from the drivers side valve cover to the passengers side so it can be evac'd into the intake. if you fish around behind the intake i bet you find the hose. 4 is not the PCV, it is the fresh air tube for the system. all it does is pull fresh air into the crankcase.
check it out....your lucky im bored. lol

ohhh, ok. your picture explained a lot thanks. so i just got to fish around the back and hook up the hose that connects the passenger side with the drivers side. and i think the pcv was removed on my intake because there is a rubber cap on the side of the intake manifold right behind the TB.... should i reconnect it or leave it as is.

if that vacuum port is plugged on the intake, the pcv is basically disabled.
you could either plug it back in and run the system. or put a breather on the valve cover to vent the crank case gasses.
do some searching, there are several BIG threads discussing various options...at length!
