Poly mounts actually took alot of the shake out of my car. There is still vibration passed through the mounts, but it no longer feels like the engine is going to pop out of the hood. I installed both mounts (driver and passenger) and have the poly tranny mount.

I did it with Hooker LT headers in place. I had to drop the K-member about 2-3 in to be able to finish the install. It took about 6-8 hrs, and I only did the driver side mount.

It is not as easy as it seams. The best time to do it is when you change your headers, or pull the engine out. If I had to do it again I wouldn't. Droping the K-member speeds it up, I was trying not to do it, so that's why it took longer.

I know a guy that installed only the driver side when installing his headers. I couldn't even notice a difference when riding in the car.

Banging can cause false knock retard plus is annoying.

I had problems with the y-pipe banging the floor. The poly mount on the Drivers side only totally cured the problem, but didn't add hardly any more noise or vibration. It's a great mod.

We just put one on a friends car last night while installing Hooker LT's. I did mine a while back and removed the header, which wasn't too bad of a job.

The pass side is worse, and we didn't even want to screw with it last nigt, even on a lift with the header removed. Go for both if you must, but the drivers side only will probably do the trick.

Be forwarned, it`s not an easy install. (See my thread) I`ve done everything to my car mod wise myself including LT`s, converter, etc., etc. (As in no shop did any of the work.) And these have been a PITA! And I have the heads off the car so I can "get right at them"! Good luck!

Getting at the bolts to remove and retighten and also fishing the stock mount out,and then fishing it back in . There is hardly any room for your hands or wrenches. Plus you get the poly mounts only. You have to drill out the rivets holding the metal clamshell together. Remove the rubber mount, then install the poly mount and rebolt the clamshell together. It is time consuming, but it was worth it to get rid of my flp y pipe from banging the floor.
