Default LS6/Weiland intake

Looking at these two options,

The Weiland has not had a lot of followers because of it's aluminum construction is susceptible to heat soak. Haven't seen a lot of numbers, and if it beat the Z06, I'm sure someone would have posted them by now.
The Z06 is a pretty good mid/high rpm intake, is light weight, and does not have ANY heat soak issues.
If you're interested, I have access to a Z06 intake that I just pulled off of a neighbors 2004.

The problem with the Weiand intake is it won't really benefit from a larger then stock TB, unless you or a shop enlarges the TB opening. And it uses it own/different intake seal/gaskets. That's why I went with the BBk (85mmTB opening & uses factory seals) instead of the Weiand.
IMO, if your determined to get the Weiand intake at least get the TB opening opened up to 90mm.

I have no complaints with my BBK SSI & 85mm TB, it seems to pull stronger above 3,500 rpm then my LS6 and ported GM TB did.
