$750 for the OR option is a damn good deal. If you guys stick with that price, my dynomouth & QTP catted y pipe will be up for sale! Keep us updated!

It is horrible to get these systems to fit over the axle. There is some ovalling out done on the pipes to get them over with good clearance, but maintaining original diameter (2.5").

These are prices off the top of my head, I will be talking to Kooks more about this tomorrow and then decide a course of action.

I appreciate all the comments, keep em coming I will keep on top of this thread.

Having an "old man" option that not only included cats but included some queit but free-flowing mufflers would be an option that some of us would be willing to pay a little extra for.
I have a Grotts-custom Y with bullets-mufflex 4" setup right now and I think its ugly and too loud. I just like the power it makes.

I am VERY VERY interested... considering the pricing of a catted y pipe it is not that high of a price. I have been pondering over headers for a year and maybe it will have been worth it finallY!!!!

Matt, two questions:

1) When do you think these will be available?
and
2) If you need a test car, I have SLP Bolt on SFC's... and would be interested in the catted x pipe... send me a PM if you would like to try it out on my car!
and
3) Would it be possible to have removable cats like the FLP system?

If you guys could get together an offroad system to fit JetHot/Hookers by April for around $750 I would deffinatly be in. Also, do you plan to offer a few different tip styles?

IF you get what is shown in the pics, doesn't seem too far out of line.
(i will be interested in it!) let me throw some questions out..
1. can i install this in my driveway?
2. any power figures yet?
3. with the 4 muff system, how loud is it inside/outside(how about the ex note?)
4. will you have tip choices? singles, duals, rec, ect.
if this is for real, and i can install it at home, sounds cool to me!

on the product, but who is a candidate for a $2,000 exhaust system?

I guess a stroker or Head/Big cam LS-1. I honestly cannot see the advantage of the true dual over the stock WS-6 on a stock to lightly modified car..

Anyone who buys Kooks, FLPs, QTP, etc are candidates for a $2K exhaust system. And all of those header/y-pipe combos seem very popular to me. This system isn't just going to be about power, the exhaust note (I hope) is going to far surpass a traditional y-pipe system and be well worth the extra couple hundred.

I was looking at the pics again and it looks like people might have a fitment issue if they are running a drive shaft loop? I looks great with the stock setup but if I recall correctly I don't think it will fit with my slp D-shaft loop. Any thoughts?

I'd be very interested in something like this there were possible variations....ala carte if you will.

1. Make a universal/core system that does not tie back to the headers.

2. Make header specific (JetHot/Hooker, Kooks/QTP) connections from the 'core' to the headers. With or without cats, of course.

3. Tips optional - I think too many people want the option of implementing their own 'personal touch'.

By itemizing, though it poses some additional complexity on Kook's behalf, could offer a system for virtually any price range, header system and style preference. I'm looking into having a system built myself as we speak. If this is really going to happen, I may just have a Premium Corsa and QTP catted Y for sale.....SOON .

You will get alot of interest, tirekickers, and window-shoppers, but not alot of buyers IMO. Lower the price to $800 or so, and you'd sell a bunch.

And that ONE sounds AWSOME!!!

I would be very interested in this system if you could manage to use 3" instead of 2.5". I would think that 2.5" would become a restriction when you get some higher HP. I see that the systems for the 03 cobra are true 3".
