Here are the three parts you'll need:

Parts list: valve cover plug (12568011), valley cover to intake hose (12594779) and valley cover with built in PCV - aka: 2004 LS6 PCV (12577927).

I would also *highly* suggest new manifold gaskets. I used Felpro from Advanced as I was in a pinch (already had it apart), but had I known ahead of time, I would have just ordered the GM/ACD gaskets - 12533587

Here's what my cut looks like:

All back together:

I did, but it required some "re-shaping"...

I borrowed this picture from another forum. This should give an idea what they are talking about. You can see they both have ribs but the LS6 intake on the left does not have the recesses like the LS1 intake on the right causing the need to remove the fins when using the older coolant lines.

So is it 100% clear that you CAN use the LS1 coolant lines with the LS6 valley cover & the LS6 intake???

01-03 still retained an external PCV valve; 04/05 have the valve build into the cover.

its is not a bolt n go...........you will have to SMASH the tubes to make it fit over the LS6 VC raised bosses.....place the LS1 tubes on the VC and you will see where it hits

otherwise use the LS6 lines

I would either use LS6 lines or grind on the ribs on the bottom of the intake for clearance. Rather than SMASH the LS1 lines.

My LS6 intake has already been smoothed out on the bottom. That was actually the first thing I did when I got it before painting it.
So the LS1 coolant lines will sit up a bit because of the raised nubs on the LS6 valley cover, I think that is where you are saying the issue is. Is that only an issue for the lines to fit under the intake or does it not allow them to bolt down to the heads? Or since my intake underside has already been smoothed down, will it no longer be an issue and the lines can just rest up on the LS6 VC nubs???
