I changed the atl with bad connector/broke wire off from plug of atl. I decided use solder on one wire from alternator and no problem...

the LS1 wiring harness uses the 4 pin oval style connector to the alt........so unless you wanna rig up some adapter.......get a 4 pin alt........the f bod alt bracket uses 3 bolt holes.....either tap a non LS1-6 block or do without a bolt

that looks like the correct pins and mounting ears.....but it does not say if it is the KG3 option........call LKQ and ask for a 2003 chev truck with the KG3 option......they will look in their computer and give you a answer in 2 secs

THis mod works great without any issues thus far to report. The only thing like he said is if you have a bigger then stock sized sway bar, you might have to remove it. I had my stock TA 30mm swaybar and that was a tight/almost not fitting fit. but it got in there. had i installed my 35mm sways and then did this, i dont think i would have been able to fit it. Im running my stock wires. havnt seen any issues and no more pulsation that makes me happy

I just got done installing the kg3 alternator and the big 3 upgrade. I was then going to put the belt back on and it was way too tight. I was barely able to slide the belt over the tensioner pulley. I have a powerbond underdrive pulley and was using a 760K6 belt before the kg3 install. Which belt am I suppose to use with a underdrive pulley and kg3 alternator? The alternator came off a 04 silverado 6.0L.

Tuff Stuff Performance, P/N 8237. No core charge, hell of a lot cheaper than Auto Zone, Advance Auto, Napa, etc etc. Plugs right in!
