We had no problems with the seal. Everything bolted up just fine. The only modification I had to make was to bend the LS6 coolant crossover tube on the front of the cylinder heads down some. It was just slightly touching the intake and preventing it from sitting flush with the cyl. head. 5 seconds with a little prybar was all it took.

damn the gains don't look too bad. But the 7hp one is a little disapointing. Was this one with tuning? I would be interested to see the gains before and after tuning.

Default A lil bit of Jumpin to conclusions maybe??!!

Guys come on...the intake has been out for what...24hrs..if that...noone has everthing figured out...I mean going from an LS1 to LS6 intake on a H/C car was a HUGE difference...but that was with porting the TB, and Z06 Maf included...doubt I'd have gotten 20+hp w/out that...most of these tuners are just unbolting one intake and strapping the other on...let them get the bigger TB versions and let them test several different combo's...

I mean 13rwhp on a 346 over an LS6 intake w/a TB that ISN'T the restriction is believable.....then 7hp over a 427 when the TB is already being maxed out.....it's totally believable...

Come on MTI, Come on AS, Ligenfelter...they'll all get their chance and hell they've already shown that no matter the engine you're getting a gain...it's not a failed design....hell for 13more hp would've put me close to 450 w/my MTI H/C set up...I sure would've ponied up another 300 on my H/C set up to reach that mark and have an intake that would've supported my forged 360 I was saving up for.

No tuning of any kind was done...we just made four pulls and then took it back off the car. Jason also dropped his muffler AFTER the 398 pull just to see what it picked up and he gained another 2hp. (We didn't post that graph, though.)

The same intake is now on a 2000 stock-motored car and we'll have dyno results shortly.

these are promising results so far, In both cases it did outperform the ls6 intake which is promising. Very nice, Thanks for dyno'ing so quickly all you guys at Thunder.

I'd like to see a 90 mm setup tried on a 346, but we won't know that for weeks.

I got one of those three. Too bad there are no dynos close to me, worse, too bad I have no time to go to one if there was

It'll still look good in my engine bay though

Something is not right here? Do both companies sell these intakes, I would like to see some unbiased back to back numbers.

Also, if the fast intake introduces more air into the car for the stated hp increases, wouldn't one think that the a/f ration would change(leaner) if no changes were made between runs?
This is the beauty of a mass air equiped vehicle, more air in the more fuel it will add, the only thing I see changing are the Ltrims......
