Hmmm really interested in this intake. I want to do a little more research first. I see a lot of you are from the midwest. I'm in Glendale Heights. Does speedinc carry these in stock or are they all made to order?

It is money well spent. Saw some great gains on my dad's car.

One day I would like to get a similar setup on my BU.

I know we all need to get together...maybe after I get some bigger headers and make a better y we can crack 500rwhp on speeds dyno and get the bu, your car, and the fast heads/cam gto some "ram"...make it an event haha

When you do because I know you will I am going to need a ride again. That way I can say that I have been in a 500 up car

Finally got around to installing my non-a/c kit today. its been sitting in my room for a couple of months now begging to get installed. Really nice piece and only took about an hour to install. Thanks Chris and Larry. Larry I'll be in touch soon to strap my ride to the rollers for a touch up tune.

So to install the non-AC version...we will lose the AC condenser, right?

I have the non-ac version on my car, but can't really say if it helped. Ya'll can be the judge (based on 1/4 mph):
Before: ssra, 48 deg, -660DA, 3.73 gear, pro edge 4000, stock wheels: 118.8 mph
After: chrs1313, 66 deg, +1149DA, BACK to 3.23 gear, yank ss4000, bogart wheels: 117.1 mph

I'll go back to the track when cooler weather arrives (Oct, Nov)

Not a good comparison in my opinion you change your gear.

How much or a gain with A/C version? i currently have the SLP CAI kit; maybe I'd be better off modifing mine to extend down to the bumper.

yeah going from an slp version to the ac version will not be much of a gain...probably around 5 rwhp...you would be better off doing like you said and trying to extend it...

I;m sort of curious...has anyone gone from a ram-air hood setup (functional) to this setup and compared track times? I've got an unbaffled WS.9 hood and the WS.6 lower airbox, so I'm getting some "ram air" effect (although due to the aerodynamics of the car, probably not a huge amount), but I was thinking about picking one of the AC-compatible kits up, primarily because it seems like it would have a more positive forced-air effect from the location of the intake duct.

I've been thinking about this ram air for a while...but what does removing the A/C call for? Is it complicated and is there a write-up? I've thought about getting rid of it just for the weight reduction. Would be killing two birds with one stone if i get this kit.

it is really easy maybe an hr if you take your time...i think there are like 10 bolts total...I am sure there is a write up somewhere...saves 33lbs

33lbs...1 hr of my time...2+ mph...I'm in haha. So did the group purchase I read about earlier already take place? Twenty bucks is twenty bucks.
