Alright I have a few questions I read about 7 or 8 pages of this thread but I didnt see these. First I'll start with I'd be going with the keeping the A/c version cuz I live in Las Vegas and during the summer it gets up to 115 degrees with that being said has this been tested in that hot of weahter? Next question is I have a WS6 what kind of gains are people seeing with using this and having the fucntional ram air hood? with the air being forced in two diff ways is it being counter productive? I did see one guy that had a WS6 and he blocked off the hood intake is that the best way to run this kit on a WS6? I guess the major queston is should I get this or stick with my ram air hood?

the bottom breathing ram airs will show better gains than the functional ram air from the hood...there are a few kits out there that are pretty good at sealing up the hood to the lid assembly and then removing the baffles in the hood...I have never tested my ram air vs one of these setups...maybe someone else out there has...

also have never tested in 115* heat...hottest mine has seen is low 90s and it did not cause any signs of over heating...maybe a jaam ram air will be better for this situation...

You are only as strong as your weakest ram air...so adding two system will only be as good as the weakest one...

I just installed Chris` setup and Holy Hell does it fit well. Definitely gonna get alot more air over other ram air setups i`ve used/ seen. My car gets dynoed next week and cant wait to make a few passes with the other goodies installed.

I may be interested in the "keep the a/c" version... Is there any permanent mounting to the car? I had a SSRA a while back and, IIRC, they gave drywall screws to attach the scoop to the underside of the front bumper...

only permanent modification is cutting the lower part of the hood latch to give the ram air a straight shot of air flow...Keeping it inplace block about 1/4-1/3 of the airflow...other than that there is 2 small selftapping screws to hold it in place up top...The bottom is held firmly with 3 of the 10mm bolts that holds the airdam inplace...

here are some pics for the ac version to that might help...the aluminum is now black epoxy coated too...

I put one of these on my car, fitting it was tight but car picked up a solid 2 mph at the track. Before I went 117mph once last year in the fall when the DA was great now been running 117 to 118 when its hot out so far this year.

Has anyone swapped from the FTRA to the 1313?

If so, what was your result?
