Well after installing the F.A.S.T 102mm Intake and the PTM 102mm Throttle Body, I went from 74Kpa at WOT on my old setup (LS6 Intake/stock TB) to 100Kpa at WOT on this new setup.

Dyno's compared:

Old Numbers:
413rwhp/ 403rwtq on a Dyna Pak(which tyipcally read on avg 10-20rwhp more then a dynojet) with Converter Locked

New Numbers:
427rwhp/ 371rwtq on a Dynojet with Converter UNLOCKED!!!!!
If Converter was locked could be looking around 465-475rwhp easy, but didn't want to stress out the verter and tranny.

Old Kpa:
74Kpa at Wot after 5,200rpms

New Kpa:
100Kpa at WOT up to 7,000rpms!!!!!!

So yes I believe this new intake is BAD ***!!!!

Old Dyno Video:

New Dyno Video (see how it responds sooo much better)

Thats on a SD tune also. I have the MAF to close to the TB so I'm in the progress of making a custom C.A.I for the trans am and the MAF will be inline in the system so it don't read sooo much turbaulance. Its going to be bad *** for the trans am setup.

is it because of the size of the MAF that puts it to close?

I agree Ken.. I think a 102 set up on a SI, stock CI motor is way toooooo big.... The biggest I would go is 92 set up

Well I have a 383, stg 2 Lingenfelter ls6 heads, big cam (bigger than T-Rex) 1 7/8"headers,and ALL the bolt ons. Its been lightened and is pretty much a full suspension drag car. The only thing I had left was to decide if I wanted to keep the ls6 intake or go with a bigger FAST. Ijust sold the ls6 and was eyeing the 102 but I have solid motor mounts and have read a lot about people saying they may or may not raise the motor. Since this monster intake is so big and so close to the cowl, I might have to stay with a 90-92.

Well I have a date with the track Nov 27th at Sacramento Raceway. But from now til then I may be hitting the track with my tuner Nate to dial it in for some track tunning and see what needs to be adjusted if anything. Other then that yeah my itch is bad, LOL.

With no tuning done and map sensor unhooked (not that it matters) I picked up 6Rwhp and 11Rwtq with NO tuning. I have not had a chance to get the tune yet.

Old setup

226 .588 114 custom cam
ls6 intake/ported tb
lid
ported/milled 317s
kooks LTs ORY cutout magnaflow
4000 PTC/373s

New setup

"all"
ported FAST 102/PTM 92

Same dyno (several months apart)

I am going to assume that I will end up with about 12-15Rwhp and 15-18Rwtq gain after tuning is finished. IMO it is well worth the money (especially when I go bigger cubes later) to many it may not be. I actually thought I would pick up more but I could tell a difference.. I liked the tq pickup. I think the 102 will give more bottom-mid range because of the runners where as the 90/92 will give more top end... Someone correct me perhaps?

Next up will be 102 lid/85 MAF and a chrs1313 ram air w/ ac...

I'm waiting to hear some good news too. Any updates on the FAST 102 track performance compared to your previous intake ?

I have a stock LS1 in my 2001 trans am. Would putting on a FAST 102mm intake help my performance? Or could a stock LS1 handle a new 102mm intake, lsxr billet fuel rails, 102mm big mouth TB, bigger injectors, the lsx fuel line conversion kit with the gauges, and new seals for the intake? Or would it blow it to bits? And if I put new pistons, bigger cam, new heads, and rocker arms, would my system be able to handle such a thing?

OR... should I just get the 102mm TB, new fuel rails, and bigger injectors?

Quick Reply: LS1 Intake next to a FAST 102mm Intake and 102mm T/B ALSO INSIDE!!!!
