Default Big throttle bodies and throttle response.

Has anyone using a large throttle body (anything more than stock) on a stock computer (tuning can be stock or not) noticed decreased throttle response?

thanks

I see no reason why it should matter. It's not like a carb where fuel AND air are being introduced to the intake manifold. Whether the TB is big or small the intake is seeing the same amount of air under a given load condition at part throttle. A bigger TB just means that this amount of air can be flowed at a smaller thottle position. The intake manifold knows no difference. It's getting the same amount of air squeezing around the edges of the TB blade under any given partial throttle load.

throttle response is not a sign of power. just because it doesn't rev up quicker doesn't mean it's not worth the money.

Does .2 tenths or 2mph at the track on a bolt on car worth enough.

Most guys would say yes that's why we port them.
