Ive seen the pumps shaft break on alot of cars just take the belt off and pull out on the pulley.. you could pry with the belt on but i dont want you to break the res. or anything else

fill the fluid to the full mark, then just lift the front of the car off the ground enough so the tires dont touch the ground.. with key on eng off turn the steering wheel all the way from the left then all the way to the right roughly 12 times adding a little fluid in between if you add too much it will over flow when you are turning the wheels and you will just have more to clean up.. prob should leave the belt off during this in case it does and you need to clean it up. when your done doing the bleeding make sure the fluid has no bubbles or very little then install the belt , start the car with the front end up and turn the wheel left to right a few more times shut it off lower it and make sure the fluid is still at the full level.
its pretty simple. if the steering whines shut it off and let it sit for an hour or so and start over at the first step here.. chances are it will be fine when you go to start it though
