Throttle cable adjustment after bump stop mod help
I just did the bump stop mod on my 2000 Camaro SS with cruise control and i noticed that at "wot" i was only reading 3.17 volts. So I came on here and i read how to adjust the cable. So i just did that and I am maxing out the adjustments at 4.21 volts. Anyone know a way to get the other .4 volts when the adjustments are bottomed out? Is there something Im missing? Thanks in advance!

First, you should be grinding to a physical result (blade
dead center), not an electrical one.
Next, your problem is quite possibly a shortage of pedal
draw. On my car and another I have had to pull the
pedal and bend it in a vise to get another inch of draw
length. Easy, free, problem solved.

Also I disagree about the mechanical result. I believe the PCM needs to see 4.5 volts to go to the WOT fuel trim and spark timing table.

You know what, we should ohm out the sensor at closed and 90 degrees and compare it with mine. If it looks like the blade is near flat at WOT and you've ground down the bump stop it could be a bad sensor.

While working on p& p the TB
I decided to go the visual route as jimmyblue suggested, to do the bump stop mod. I used a square for measuring
I allowed between .004" & .005" before a full 90º opening
I'm glad I went the visual way to adjust and then rechecked the voltage. I tested tested factory voltage of this TB on my 2000Z and my son's 2001 WS6. The readings were .04v less on his car, opened or closed. After I finished the mod I tested again and it was still .04v off
This is my voltage with .004" - .005" less than WOT. I think if I would have gone the voltage route I may have been over
