Which sponsor port tb?? Which sponsors port tb? looking to get mine done.. N does any body know how much this runs. Or how long it takes? Thanx for any info..

I plan on doing this myself and doing a write up tomorrow. I am going to try it with a dremel on a spare TB I have for practice and hopefully it turns out good.

Imo its a waste. it allows more air at smaller throttle openings. All you are really doing is adjusting the 'control' valve on the motor. Throttle bodies generally are sized so that the amount of air being allowed through can correlate to throttle pedal position. Light throttle, small opening. When you make it bigger and are slightly on the throttle pedal say 25% you will be allowing more air through which would be the same as say 40% (just an example not accurate numbers) with a stock throttle opening.
what you really need to know is how much air will it flow at the top end ? if you are restricted by the throttle body at 100% opening then it is worth going bigger. If you are not, all you are doing is opening the throttle more than you think.
More often than not because there is more air you will lean out the mix and pick up a little power. I look at it this way. A stock motor is like a runner with small lungs. opening his mouth wider doesn't help. Modifying his heart (cam) or making the lungs bigger (heads) will help him run faster and longer
just some food for thought.

yeah i will put heads n cam set up next summer or during winter.. just trying to get all my bolt ons done first.. n i will pm silverghost n look up new era performance..

Yeah, I bought something from him on eBay, and still haven't received my refund for the core charge. I've emailed him and contacted him through eBay at least 10x a month since it has happened. He's that guy you meet on the street, and punch in the face. And when he says "WHY?", you'll automatically reply with "YOU KNOW WHY!" Seriously, there is a reason that he is banned here on LS1tech.

Heres stock TB compared to ported stock TB:
7hp/7ftlbs with a stock car down to the paper filter
9hp/8ftlbs with a cam/headers car
Here is an extreme example, Yamaha 700 Raptor with a 54mm TB lol. You will notice there is even no bottom end loss. This is before and after of nothing but a TB swap:

I got mine from Vmax Performance. It's a little more expensive than most but Mike Norris suggested it and that's what I went with. It's CNC machined and is sexy. He said you will gain a little bit of power but the throttle response is the biggest gain.
