Kooks released new exhaust for f-body

Hopefully I won't run into the same problems you guys are having. I'll be running the MWC crossmember along with their DSL and watts link. I think my setup has a bit more clearance in the problem areas.

I'm going to try a piece of hi-temp silicone turbo hose around the exhaust where it's hitting the frame. I can't twist the pipe toward the driver side or it'll hit the upper PHB.
One good thing is it has better ground clearance that my Kooks y-pipe did. Then it gets lower after the DSL, not much though. I sure wouldn't want to be any lower with this setup.

This exhaust is starting to **** me off. Got everything lined up, tips are perfect, longer bolts and washers for the DSL. Now it's hitting the frame where it goes over the axle on the passenger side. I'd like to just put a piece of heater hose between it and the frame but I'm sure it would melt.

^^ Sent you a PM on the bolts. There 8mm x 1.25 in case anyone else wants to know. Yours is hitting the frame too? Is that your only issue now?
I still have a couple very small leaks right behind the headers, even hitting it with the impact wouldn't stop it. When the exhaust heats up and expands they stop though. I think with a stepped dual bolt band clamp it would seal it right up.

Ok got the bolts thanks! I dont think im hitting the frame anywher, but I do have one very minor leak on the pass side. I dont think it will be an issue though. I went to an exhaust shop and we ended up cutting the pass tip off and re welding it. It looks pretty good now, I wouldnt say its perfect but close.

I'm mostly happy with it, and love the single tips on my T/A...exactly what I was looking for. I ordered some lap-joint clamps to take care of the leaks and a hi-temp 500* hose to slide between the frame and exhaust for $6. I am a little worried about scraping though....3" of clearance from the DSL back isn't much. I still saved a lot of money over a complete custom setup.
When I get everything done I'll post a vid.

Almost all done...I got some lap joint band clamps and it sealed all the leaks I had. The clamps I ordered actually had some kind of hi-temp puddy on the inside of the clamp to help seal it, worked great. I've still got to adjust where it's going over the axle hitting the frame. Yeah it took me awhile to get the tips even too, yours look dead on.

Thanks man I apprecite it. I do love it, its very clean and def has a nice rumble to it. Im anxious to see the MWC loop compared to the BMR. Seems like some guys only have to fur it down a little while others alot. Ive got at least a 1" spacer on mine.
