What exactly did you use? I found the pictures of your melted tank and the ones you just posted. Appreciate the help, trying to get this system finsihed. I got the upper panhard off without removing the tank heat sheild. Does that heat shield interfer with it that much?

Yes, the shield interferes that much. Was easier to pull it than fight it. I used "Heatshield Products" self adhesive mat....picked up from Summit. Bought the reflective tape for the mat edges to prevent fraying, cleaned the hell out of the surface and went to town. Was a lot easier with the tank on the ground, but you should have enough room with the exhaust off.

I got a great price on one from Maryland speed so I pulled the trigger.
