How do you ID Jet Hots?

I purchased a set of new never installed Jet-Hot headers. I was told they were for an 00-02 LS1. Are their any changes between the years 98-02. They have one air tube connection on each header.

one air tube indicates no egr provision so they'll hook up no problem with the 01-02's.

Hey, thanks for the quick reply. What do I need to do to block off the air tube? I can't wait to get them installed..

you can buy block off plates from paceparts , or make your own. i bought plates and lost one during my head install so i just used a piece of old head gasket and rtv and it seals up fine.

Did you do your own install? I got a quote for 350 to get them installed. I just think it may be too difficult to get the car up high enough, plus its freezing out...

ya i did my own install. just basic hand tools, jack stands, and jack were all that was needed. had the rear on ramps and the front jacked up with my jack on a piece of 4x4 wood for more clearance. if you have the time and tools i say go for it. can easily be done in a weekend and you save 350 bucks.

I think I may give it a try. I have the Rhino ramps and 21" jack stands. I'd like to put the 350 toward a cam anyway.

ya, at least give it an attempt. the hardest part for me was removing the old setup. i had to grind down the block tab on my engine because i couldnt remove the steering shaft. the passenger side slide in pretty well. if you dont have anyone to help you, use an extra set of jack stands to hold the header up while you bolt them in from the top, makes it easier.
