Purpose of epoxy on ported TB's
I've been hunting for awhile but have not found a definitive answer to the purpose of epxoing the IAC ports while porting an LSX TB. I've heard for better idle qualities, better for shaping inner bore, etc.
I'm trying to decide whether to epoxy or not and if so what type of epxoy???

Well by looking at it its just there to improve the shape of the throttle body to be more smooth and flow, and not have a larger area where air can be trapped and cause turblence. I am sure you get mixed opions on if it helps or not. And I dont know what kind of epoxy would be the best option.

Another piece of info thrown into the mix... the TB will see max boost psi of 10-12!
Found a good thread on epoxying/air flow/turbulence with and without epoxy and think I may want to epoxy but would like more input before doing so...

I started off with (if I recall) a 1/4" hole but it was too
small and made for some idle surging. I opened it up to
3/8 and it got all better.
I used "good old" JB-Weld in two layers, first one worked
in with a brush (after some scuff & solvent clean) to get
a good bite, the second after it cured for fill. I put tinfoil
as "dams" at the bottom of the holes to keep globs out of
the IAC channel and the "paint" coat sealed that.
