Default Best muffler for single dumped set up?

About to get LT's and Y pipe. Want to run single dumped set up untill I outgrow it hp wise. Don't want to get letters from the HOA so need some thing some what tame. Want "deeper" sound than louder with as little rasp as possible. Do I need an offset inlet/outlet muffler to fit properly?

Flowmaster makes a hushpower muffler if you want to kill power and quiet it down

Not looking for stock sound. I want it louder, just not open header raspy popping loud. A muffler thats mild at idle but loud and low at wot. Is an oval better than bullet?

I think Magnaflow makes that type of muffler that would suit you

You should try a powerstick from classic chambered. I think that the part number is 3026. I love mine in the stock oocation and dumped

I am running a dumped Dynomax bullet dumped. It sounds nice, I have been running it all summer, just getting sick of the dumped exhaust, I will be running it out back in the spring.

Don't need silent just have heard catless systems sound like crap. I know as a muffler get quieter it flows less. I want something that gives the best balance I can get.

just a dynomax bullet will be pretty loud, you will need another muffler. How worried are you about ground clearance? Magnaflow makes some good bullet style mufflers that should be quieter then a dynomax bullet.

Stock ride height. Would any other style than a bullet fit?.... or be deeper and or better sounding? Thanks for the input fellas!

LT's, Custom ORY, FM-Merge, POWERSTICK dumped right before the axle.

Added Thunderbolt cats back in July after the video.
Wouldn't have it any other way.
At idle it was nice, but still pretty ******* loud without cats.
But between shifts it was extremely raspy, and I actually have a very nice merge on my Y.
It's a flowmaster merge with mandrel bent piping, doesn't get any less turbulent than that.

The cats cleaned it up, and took away pretty much all of the rasp.
It's loud enough, and doesn't sound like burning donkey dick between shifts.

Make sure you are using a FM merge if you dont want rasp and popping. Might as well do it right the first time.

FlowMaster merge allows for a smooth non-clashing merge at the ypipe and is at a greater diameter for better flow.

Same here. I love mine. Nice and deep, with enough ***** to scare small women and children. Hell I'm a high school physics teacher and when I pull up to school every morning every stops and stares! Heck a lot of my classes are centered around the judicious application of torque.
