Anything close to .600 in lift you should run a dual valve spring... I have .588-.595 and am running PRC dual valve springs..

Lunati Dual Golds here Nothing wrong with Patriots or PRC either. Comps are on the pricey end at around $500 for their 921s. If you wanted to run a single spring then the PAC 1518 would be good.

That is a very wrong statement sir. The deciding factor on duals vs. singles has more to do with the max rpm range and valve train weight. Even at .650 lift with a stock size or light weight over sized valve at moderate rpms a single beehive will work fine.

That's not true.. A higher lift has a more aggressive ramp rate. You put on a single spring with a .650" lift and let me know how that goes for you

All depends on the spring rates. A dual with a rate of 200 will act different than a single with a rate of 350. Not only that you have to factor in the weight of valve, lighter weight of the spring and also the retainer, the rocker ratio and also pushrod weight. Its not as simple as the amount of lift and durration.

Higher lift does not always mean more agressive ramp either. A long durration has a slower ramp than a shorter durration at the same lift.

Like the PAC guys is telling you it's all in the combo. We used PAC 1255 big beehives to go 7500 rpm with very light valves and .685 lift. Also have smoother lobes even though they had more lift as he was saying.

Lunati, PRC and Patriot all have nice double spring kits. The PAC 1518s are a single beehive rated to .650 lift thats an option as well. Im personally running the Lunatis on .612 lift.
