Questions About Electric Cutout Install Here is what I know. Negative to the cig lighter, positive to pink of ASR. Run wires into the car through the rubber grommet in the passenger side floor pan. What is the best way to get the wires from the hole in the floor to the console? Do I need to take out the carpet or console or what? THANKS!
Here is what I did. I removed the back seat on the passenger side, just one bolt. Under the seat there is a hole in the carpet, a fairly large hole where you can pull the wire through from the grommet. Its easier with a buddy. Remove the console and make a small hole in the carpet under it large enough to pull the wire through. Use a coat hanger to hook the wire to and pull through. Viola! I hooked my ground to that black triangle thing under the steering column, it makes a nice ground and it easy to get to. I hooked the power to the ASR also.
I did the same as above. You do not need to completely remove the console, just pull it up and hold it. You can remove it by first removing all nessesary bolts, then release the prowl on the hand break. This will allow you to pull the handle all the way up without ripping on the cable. there are two blank spots on the fuse panal. you will know which im tlakin about becasue you cant put a fuse in because it only has one hole in each spot. they are the right size to put regular size spade conectos into. one is a constant 12 volt source and one is a switched(by ignition) 12 volt source.
