Here is my GMMG catback on my lid only car through the manifolds and stock pipes.
I hope you have good speakers on your computer, because no video will replace listening to it in person. I'm glad I spent the extra to get it. Lets just say my gas mileage went down

I got mine through Gary at Madhammer Exhaust. Vengeance is good to go through to get in on a group purchase because they help save on shipping, but if you cant wait, go talk to the supplier, the MAN himself. Gary

google Mad Hammer exhaust, all of his contact info is on his website.

Thanks man. I can't wait to put a cam in it and really make that GMMG sound even deeper and heavier than how it sounds right now.

I hate the high pitched raspy sound. So I will bypass doing LT's and just have it cammed through the stock manifolds. I also live in the wonderful state of California, lol, hence the bypass of the Longtubes for my daily driver.

Those regulations in cali are soon to be everywhere. We all need to enjoy our cars while we still have them. Sounds good man enjoy it

Exactly! as much as I love the GMMG, hecc I have it on my own car; I probably would never take off the cats if it's your daily driver. With cats its perfect.

Put a cam in it and go through the stock manifolds and it's pure heaven.
If you put longtubes on, you will have to do some extra mods to quiet it down, it gets god awful loud going through long tubes. I test drove a GMMG, gutted cat, Long tubed LS1 car and I literally got a headache 15 minutes later.

On the freeway in 5th and 6th gear at normal driving mph 70-80mph, it is quiet but still has a little rumble to it thats smooth and clean sounding. This is of course stock.

Yeah cali has strict laws for sure lol,I think if I lived there it would be procharger,lq4, and done, see in crap ohio you can get away with things a lot easier, but I would take the weather there in a heartbeat, its like 6 outside, and I have not took the car out since nov 1st,it blows

Yeah I know, but what are you gonna do when you live in Cali. I just dont wanna have to deal with "smog" every 2 years, or risk getting pulled over by the cops.

I think having a cam through manifolds vs no cam at all is still better, despite leaving 20 rwhp on the table. At least I have an 02 LS1 with the better manifolds. That helps a little.

Long story short.... GMMG = sweeeeetness!!!!!!!

The End

Yup! the grass is always greener
6 degrees outside sucks donkey ballz, but then you don't have to put up with a lot of the regulated BS

Default Corsa Vs Magnaflow on same car

I loved my Corsa with Kooks LTs & catted Y until I put in the EPS cam. Then it was too loud! I just replaced the Corsa with Magnaflow and I love it. Plenty deep, but not so obnoxious as the Corsa with cam. Either way, with a catted y, it's not raspy.

Corsa catback on Kooks LTs, catted y, mild EPS cam.

One month later with Magnaflow muffler (same corsa tips, kooks LTs, catted Y & mild EPS cam)

I hate the magnaflow but I would recommend it. The price is fairly cheap for a catback and the sound is ok to live with as a daily. Plus if its too quiet, a cutout can solve that. I hate it because its quiet and my previous car had GMMG so I'm still in love with it. Although, my magnaflow with long tubes and catted Y quiet, it is loud enough to somewhat drown out the whine from my 12 bolt. On a scale of 1-10 (10 being loudest) my buddy said it rates as an 8 when cruising by at 30mph at 2000rpm.

I had GMMG with stock manifolds and cats on my old LT1 bird... Sounded SICK!!!!

The kid I traded it to put LT's and ORY with the GMMG and it sounded NASTY!!!!
LOUD AS ****!!!!

I never liked magnaflow, they were always to quiet for me... but it came with the LT1 I have now ... LT's, ORY, Magnaflow, E-cutout...

If you open the cutout it sounds real good!!!!

Cut out closed, WAY TO QUIET.... Its good for driving out your neighborhood at 2am, or trying to avoid cops attention.

My answer= Keep your Magnaflow, and GET A CUTOUT

everyone says keep the magnaflow and get cutout , but i want something with a nice rumble at idle with the cutout "closed"(not too loud but just something aggressive, magnaflow sounds so plain to me). im sure i would get a better sound with an ory with the magnaflow but im not sure if i wanna risk it. cops around here in jersey are bored out of their mind so pull people over for the stupidest stuff.

Detoxx is your set up with or without cats? i really like how it sounds
