Default LS6 PCV Kit

Has anyone purchased the LS6 PCV kit from Thunder Racing? I'm assuming the kit eliminates the catch can. Can you still use a catch can with the LS6 valley cover and any benefit if you can or is it just overkill?

Its cheaper to buy from GMPartsDirect. LS1howto.com has a write up on the install and has the part #'s of the stuff you need. But do not use the part # off LS1howto.com for the LS6 valley cover itself. The part # they use is the old version. There is a newer revised version out that has holes in the built in oil separator underneath the valley cover. Search around on tech for this new part # as I don't know it off the top of my head. The whole system will run you around $100. You don't need new valley cover bolts as Thunder offers.

Also there is no catch can stock on the car. You can still use a catch can and it won't be overkill IMO. Why? Because I have both the LS6 pcv and rev extreme catch can on mine and I still get oil in the intake.

As far as the catch can goes, just like djfury05 said.. it can't hurt to run one.

Werd!!! I've got this same set-up & still get oil in the intake as well.. I'm about to ditch the whole PCV system & just use one or two vented catch cans

I have a catchcan on now and was debating on keeping it on after the install or not. Looks like it's staying. I read that I will need new bolts for the valley when installing a FAST intake. Does anyone know if FAST includes these or not?

I'm ordering a FAST 102, NW 102, FAST fuel rail kit, and fuel conversion kit in the next few days as well as the LS6 valley cover

Sorry I should have specified better.... Are the bolts for the valley cover included so the intake doesn't crack when you tighten it down with the intake manifold bolts (I know the intake manifold bolts are included)?

Thanks

the bolts included with my cover were regular bolts..........they clear the stock intake with no problems.........now the FAST intake needs button head bolts to clear the cover
