Default ORY or Catted Y with Corsa Catback?

As soon as i get the money im getting American Racing Headers, i dont know whether to go with a catted y or an ory? I dont want it to be too raspy or smell like ***, but i dont know if its worth the extra $160 for a catted y. Im in New Jersey i also dont know if i will be able to pass inspection with an ory. What should i do?

It's pretty simple, get a Catted Y! You definitely won't regret it. I got an ORY and I wish I would have just coughed up the extra money for a Catted Y.

Without the cats, it will definitely be more raspy, and loud! The smell also gets annoying too. A Catted Y will just sound much cleaner, and you will be more pleased with it. Plus if you need cats for inspection, that just seals the deal.

Yea it is worth it. You get what you pay for, you'll be thanking yourself you spent the extra money when it's all said and done.

I've got Kooks headers, Kooks ORY and Corsa catback. The smell... eh... it smells like a race car. And this will sound a little weird, but with the windows rolled up, it sounds worse (interior noise) than with the windows down. I just took it out for a joy ride today with the windows rolled all the way down and it sounds like a freakin' machine! Just my opionion though. Get what you think you'll be happy with.

i have a Corsa and ORY and i think it sounds fine. except for that annoying "cackle" between 2500-3500 rpm. sounds almost like a straight pipe in that range.

i don't foresee a catted Y in my future unless inspections become an issue.

Save yourself the headache of possible rasp and in your case possible failed inspection and get the Y with cats. I am glad I did just to avoid the rasp these cars produce with a lot of different cat backs not just Corsa.

$ 160 ain't jack when u r spending approx. $1200 - $1400 on Headers.

Get the Catted Y. You will be happy with the ARH. Nice Product.
Just think if it didn't pass with the ORY... You would be pissed, and it would be a lot more than $ 160 to tear it all back down and replace with the Catted Y.

Well i guess I'm the only person that hates cats lol,I just do not see the point of them on a performance car,you always could run gutted ones,but with corsa I have heard both and catted did sound better,is the car cammed?

I live in jersey as well in the 856 And I have magnaflow and I plan on getting a set of ARHs. At the end of the month And was debating on catted or. Ory and I really don't feel like going Through a hassle When it comes inspection time again. Just hope the high flows will louden it up a bit if not I'll prob be changing catbacks if I'm not happy

Is it better to get a catted ory...or buy the cats separatly and have them weld it in, incase you have to chop the pipe for fitment?
