MSD's seem to be the most reliable right now. Taylors are a one time use wire. They come apart when you pull them off. Happened to me and many others.

Hard to beat the deal for NGK plugs and MSD wires

But pretty much get the plugs with the proper heat range and any wire with decent build quality. It doesn't matter.

for what specifically? people just like to spout random ****.

Stock GM wires are fine, usually NGK plugs work well. Depending on what you have done determines your spark plug model choice and gap.

Spark plugs are like condoms, they all aren't universal.

Most folks here run the NGK plugs and MSD wires.

The IX plugs are iridium and may last for 100,000 miles.

Most wires are pretty good except for the Taylors. Many here have had issues including myself. Avoid them.

GM wires tend to have high resistance. As I recall, the Acell wires are also pretty high.

I'm running the Granatelli wires. As stated above, they're zero Ohms. They MAY add some power but have a lifetime warranty. $105.00 direct from GMS, call in orders only for LS engines. Far away the most "worth it" plug wire set of the group.

I'm gonna try a set of the WeaponX spark plugs, they have no resistor in them.
